The Scaredy Cut is a silent & simple solution to home pet grooming. It works for cats, dogs and even horses! It replaces electric clippers with scissors, eliminating the noise and vibration of electric clippers. Scaredy Cut uses the same guide combs as those used on clippers, allowing you to make even cuts.

THE 4-STEP PROCESS:

<1:> Attach the desired guide comb by placing the front edge of the mounting block into the V-shaped groove of the guide comb and then snapping the latch in place at the back edge (the edge with rounded corners). Brush your pet, getting it used to the comb. Begin trimming only when they are calm and cooperative, taking breaks as necessary.
<2:> Position your pet to work against the direction of hair growth, moving from the tail toward the head.
<3:> Remove large locks of hair by holding them out with your free hand (never pull) and making single cuts. The initial result will be an uneven, choppy surface.
<4:> Once most of the fur has been removed by making single cuts, the uneven surface can be evened out by making multiple, rapid cuts, while pulling the guide comb through the fur or hair.

SAFETY NOTES:

• All of the precautions appropriate to the use of scissors should be observed.
• Check CONTINUALLY that no body part (like the tip of an ear or fold of skin) is between the blades prior to cutting.
• Do not pull the fur into the comb as pulling your pets fur can cause discomfort and their skin (which can be very flexible) can be pulled up into the blades.
